Collection: Sunriver Series

Sunriver is inspired by our recent trip to Oregon.
I have always wanted to explore Sunriver and it did not disappoint.

This journey took us through Mt Hood National Forest where I found myself completely mesmerized by Detroit Lake. I loved it so much that I made sure we took the same route home to see it again and I'm already planning a trip back to spend more time there.

Our casita was in Caldera Springs on Forest Brook Lane and overlooked a pretty pond. We ate breakfast in the town of Bend at a tiny place called The Lemon Tree and we wished there were 10 more days for breakfast. It was absolutely delicious and if your ever near... GO!

In a quirky shop named Layor Art Supply there were incredible paintings on the walls giving me inspiration and I picked up a few new metallic acrylics to bring back to the studio to try.
You may notice these paints show up as flower petals in each painting.

After a playful day on the Meadows golf course, we ended our trip with a spectacular 3 hour float down the Deschutes River.
Quietly relaxing while floating ever so slowly on a raft with my love = PURE JOY.

I couldn't wait to get home and create.
Joy in the playful shapes.
Joy in the high desert palette.
Joy in the memory of the trip.

And I put that JOY on canvas!
